Setting up the first connection

Before you can start setting up our API you need the necessary keys to get rolling. You can get the API keys on our Dashboard right here. If you don't have yet a Dashboard account, you can create one yourself using the same link.

You are in test mode first

Bear in mind that the API keys you're generating are for Packaly's acceptance environment. To prevent immediate testing on production, feel free to explore all functionalities on our testing environment.

If you opened the link above then navigate to
Settings > API key and click Generate key

Store your API secret key safe

Your API secret key is like a password. Make sure to store it somewhere safe and keep it private.Avoid storing it in a file on your laptop. Instead, use a secure password manager like 1Password.
